Clean Air Ghana

An initiative to install air quality monitoring sensors across Accra and build a public-facing app that helps civilians plan their daily movement based on real-time air quality data. All collected data will be publicly accessible for researchers and policymakers.

Clean Air Ghana is our flagship environmental health initiative. We're deploying a network of low-cost IoT air quality sensors across Accra to create the city's first comprehensive, real-time air quality monitoring system. The data feeds into a mobile app that helps everyday citizens make informed decisions about when and where to travel, exercise, or spend time outdoors. All sensor data is made publicly available through an open API, enabling researchers, universities, and government agencies to conduct air quality studies and inform public health policy.
